As with all other aspects of the process, Paul Huijing can assist you with the detailed design process.
A general progression starting with verbal descriptions and ending with a finished plan can follow this path:
- List of rooms needed and approximate sizes desired
- List relationship of room to one another and to outside
- Bubble diagrams showing spatial relationship of rooms and exterior views/siting
- Refine floor plan, typically first floor layout is initially considered followed by the second floor
- Preliminary plans and exterior elevations
- Material selections
- Incorporate quality level and budget constraints
